Call for Applications now open for 2025 Resilience Graduate Research Awards, Deadline is April 30!

The Haury Program is pleased to announce an open call for Resilience Graduate Research Awards proposals to support University of Arizona graduate students doing research relevant to water, energy, and food resilience of tribes.
Graduate students from all disciplines that specifically address these issues are invited to apply.
Priority will be given to applications that support graduate students whose work addresses the water, energy, and/or food issues and challenges, and other adverse consequences of extreme weather events faced by federally-recognized tribes, especially those within Arizona.
Applicants who seek to work directly with tribes must have experience with, or obtain knowledge and training regarding the relevant tribal laws, regulations, and approvals that govern University research, education and extension work for and with tribes.
“Few things bring the Haury Program more pleasure and pride than fortifying pathways at the University of Arizona, and supporting up and coming resilience scholars. This annual grant process elevates voices of those working in tribal resilience, supports amazing research and outreach, and advances our core mission of promoting tribal resilience,” shared Haury Program Director, Prof. Toni Massaro. Nancy Petersen, Assistant Director, added: “The Haury Program is dedicated to honoring the University of Arizona’s commitment as a land-grant institution to the federally-recognized tribal nations. These awards put commitment into action.”
The deadline to submit proposals is April 30th. Award notification will be provided late May. Funds are available for up to $20,000 per applicant.
