UArizona and AZ Town Hall Event Focused on CIELO Programs and Equity.

Last week, the Agnese Nelms Haury Program in Environment and Social Justice co-hosted Arizona Town Hall event focusing on equity. Our Assistant Director Nancy Petersen shared:

"The UArizona Haury Program co-hosted the Arizona Townhall on equity to connect the vision of our Statewide community with campus learning opportunities such as CIELO. Townhalls engage all participants to have a voice in shaping society, while CIELO integrates student travel, multicultural education, and service learning to increase understanding about equity in a “global classroom.” The event provided the opportunity through personal stories and table discussion questions on equity, to share steps both personally and communally to address equity, and to help inform and prepare our students in their educational and career journeys."
